Chat Catcher Script


Installation


  1. If you already have a Chat Catcher secret, enter it below.
  2. If you do not have a Chat Catcher secret, leave the secret blank and one will be generated for you.
  3. Click the Get Code button.
  4. Find the textbox labeled Chat Catcher Script (below).
  5. Copy the script from the textbox. 
  6. Place the script in a file on your server.  The script must end in .php.  Example:  http://www.myblog.com/chatcatcher.php Modify the script:
    • Enter your email address and blog address into the script.
    • Resave the script on your server.
  7. In a browser, open your script. Example: http://www.myblog.com/chatcatcher.php
  8. Click Activate This Script. Chat Catcher will be contacted and will verify your script.
  9. If your script is activated, test the script using the Script Tester.
